Dr. Karen Brooks Favorite is an accomplished educator, musician, and leader with over two decades of service to the Greater New Orleans community. She holds a Bachelor of Music and Master of Arts from Xavier University of Louisiana, a Master of Education from Our Lady of Holy Cross, and a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from the University of New Orleans. Dr. Favorite has served in roles ranging from music teacher to principal and currently serves as Executive Director of Performance Management for Jefferson Parish Schools. She is the proprietor of TAWKPIN Development Agency and has served on the YALA Board of Directors for three years. Dr. Favorite is married to Preston J. Favorite, and they have five children.
