Session E1. Drumming Up Connections

This participatory musical experience will show how music, specifically drumming, is a universal language that connects all ages, cultures and abilities. Within the drum circle, countless narratives can be explored, including curriculum connections, social emotional learning, and personal wellness. Multiple content-area and cultural connections will be shared, and concrete examples will be explored hands-on; participants will discuss how to apply these principles to other art forms and curricular settings.
