Program Director, Young Audiences of Houston
Dr. Christine Phares serves as the Program Director at Young Audiences of Houston, cultivating community partnerships, overseeing 176 Teaching Artists and Arts Partners, leading the Education Committee, and supporting the organization’s mission through arts integrated learning and developing new initiatives. Dr. Phares has a background as an educator in urban and rural schools, an opera singer, a Teaching Artist with The Metropolitan Opera, and an Education Consultant. Christine’s holds a Doctorate in Education with research published on both classroom management and gender and the impact of Music Education on standardized test scores.
