A former English teacher, Response to Instruction Coordinator, and assistant principal, Ashley Lucier holds a Bachelor’s in Secondary Education and Language Arts with a minor in Theatre, a Master’s in Liberal Arts - English, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership. As Executive Director of Amp Up Arts, she is particularly passionate about strategies to provide increased equitable arts education access to underserved communities across Alabama. She works closely with educational leaders and policymakers to advocate for increased arts education access, and engages with state and local level partners to implement arts education and experiences for Alabama students. In addition, Ashley is a kidney donor, visual artist, and is closely involved in her local arts community.
