E4. From Partnership to Impact: Building Sustainable Arts Integration Models with School Districts
Dr. Mark King brings over 30 years of experience in public education and a proven track record of strengthening schools and leadership teams. He has served as a middle and high school principal in Prince George’s County, an Instructional Superintendent and Deputy Chief in DCPS, and a principal supervisor in Baltimore City, where he helped two schools exit the state’s bottom 5% list. Now the Vice President of Education at Arts for Learning Maryland, he leads statewide arts-integration initiatives recently recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Dr. King is also a proud member of MCEL and a champion for joyful, data-driven learning.
