A2. Literature at Play: Using Children's Books to Explore Topics of Identity through Theater 

Frank Ruiz (He/Him/El) is a Nicaraguan American artist and educator with ADHD. Currently the Manager of Education Programs for New York City Children’s Theater, he received the 2024 TYA/USA Emerging Leader Fellowship. His research trip to the Woody Guthrie Center's American Song Archives has led to a commissioned piece for Very Young Audiences during NYCCT's 30th Anniversary Season. He received a 2024 LMCC Creative Learning grant for his protest songwriting workshop. As a facilitator, he has presented several national and local conferences, including the Leadership Exchange in Arts and Disability conference.
