B1. Expanding the Narrative: The PD/Residency Model
Sherry Norfolk is an award-winning storyteller, author and teaching artist, performing, and leading residencies and professional development workshops nationally and internationally. As a teaching artist, she uses storytelling as a strategy for teaching preK-12th grade curriculum. She is currently implementing the RAISE program for her third year. Sherry is co-editor with Lyn Ford of Storytelling Strategies for Reaching and Teaching Children with Special Needs, and with Jane Stenson of The Storytelling Classroom four-book series. A Teaching Artist with Springboard to Learning (Young Audiences of St. Louis), Wolf Trap and the Kennedy Center, Sherry is a recognized leader in integrating learning through storytelling.
