C2. I Will… Centering Youth Voice in Storytelling

A’mirah Wallace is a senior at Baltimore City College in Baltimore, MD. She is an aspiring artist and neuroscientist who blends kindness, creativity, and curiosity to better understand the brain, emotion, and human connection. She believes these qualities can transform the way we connect with each other and ourselves. Her creative inspiration comes from understanding humans to the fullest extent and developing art that has an impact on society. She started a club, Everlasting Flower, to promote positive engagement with the elderly community in nursing homes. She also volunteers and tutors at school. Her proudest achievement was having a poem published in Charm, a literary magazine in Baltimore. An intern in the Bloomberg Arts Internship Program in the summer of 2025, she has continued on working at her worksite The Valerie J. Maynard Foundation during the 25-26 school year.
