Kelly White

Kelly White is a New Orleans native, second-generation educator, choreographer, and researcher with over 20 years of experience in arts education and cultural preservation. She holds a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from the University of Southern Mississippi and an M.A. in Dance Education from NYU. A former Director of Fine and Performing Arts at Young Audiences Upper School, she has performed with Ase Dance Theater Collective and Kumbuka African Drum and Dance Collective. Kelly is co-founder of EVOLVE Diaspora, founder of the Balbancha Dance Festival, and currently serves as Director of Education at Young Audiences of Louisiana and Professor of Dance at Southern University. Her brightest joy is her daughter, Morgan.
